Updated On : January 6, 2016 Client has announced the signing of an agreement with design consultancy firm Dar Al-Handasah (Shair & Partners) to design the Dilmunia Gateway Bridge in this development. The bridge will be located on west entrance, connecting Dilmunia Island to the mainland. The Dilmunia Gateway Bridge will be a unique structure compatible with the architectural theme of the island. It will blend with the spirit of Dilmunia and be visually prominent in its settings, differentiating Dilmunia from other projects. The bridge will be designed at a high standard to be an aesthetically appealing landmark in Bahrain. Updated On : March 18, 2013 Client has awarded the first phase infrastructure contract to Cebarco Bahrain. The contract is valued at $22.5 million and covers road, power, water, drainage, communications and landscaping across the island's 125 hectares, as well as a bridge crossing Dilmunia's 'grand canal'. Work will take (24) months to be completed, staggered to allow sub-developments to also be completed and handed over by mid-2015. Cebarco Bahrain will be working closely with infrastructure designers Mott MacDonald and cost consultant DG Jones & Partners to deliver the services for this landmark project. The winning firm will be appointed by end of the first quarter of 2012 and work is due to commence in the second quarter of 2012.
